Some things only a mothers love can fix.
I’ve had a difficult 12 months ,which I won’t go into , and the support and love I got from my Mum was the only thing that got me through. I came back to Ireland for awhile and I’m so glad I did.
Spending time with my Mum has been the best therapy. We’re the best of friends and enjoy each others company so much we’re always doing things together.
I’m so lucky to have a Mum like her. She’s selfless and so kind and loving and I hope one day I’ll be even half the mother she is to my own kids because even at that it will make me a great one!
We should never take for granted the chances we get to spend time with a parent and we should show the love to them everyday not just on occasions like these days. I know my Mum knows how much I love her because I’m a stage one clinger so I show her all the time!:)
Anyway I want to do this post as it’s Mothers day soon and I could talk about my love for mine all day BUT I have something to give away for the day thats in it.
I love afternoon tea, there’s something so civilised about sipping tea after tea and nibbling on miniature sandwiches and fancy cakes. Bonus if bubbles are a part of it!
I went to The Metropole Hotel in Cork to sample their afternoon tea and it was delicious -classic sandwiches ,gorgeous little cakes and 4 scones guys! 4! It’s so reasonable I couldn’t believe it -€25 for TWO people! €12.50 each has to be the cheapest afternoon tea I’ve come across!
Anywho the lovely lot at The Metropole have given me an afternoon tea voucher for 2 to giveaway to my lovely readers -the giveaway is over on my Facebook page HERE.
P.s my top is from penneys/primark
I hope you all enjoy this Mothers day no matter who you spend it with.
